Andreas Pedroß-Engel was born in Radstadt, Austria, in 1982. He received his Dipl.-Ing. in Electrical Engineering from Graz University of Technology in 2009 with distinction. His diploma thesis was on "Modeling and Simulation of an LF-Receiver" at Infineon Technologies Austria AG, where he held also a part-time position as concept engineer, focused on tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS). In 2009 to 2010 he was employed at TeleConsult Austria GmbH as a research and development engineer in the area of global navigation satellite systems (GNSS; GPS, Galileo), GNSS multi-frequency receivers and multipath and interference mitigation techniques. Since June 2010 he was a Research Associate at the Signal Processing and Speech Communication Laboratory of Graz University of Technology. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in July 2014 in the field of NOFDM (Noncoherent OFDM) for wireless ultra-wideband (UWB) communication receivers.
