Benedikt Mayrhofer is a PhD student at Graz University of Technology, specializing in voice conversion for pathological and electro-laryngeal speech. He holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Audio Engineering and works at the intersection of technology and human communication. His expertise includes speech signal processing and machine learning, with a focus on automatic speech recognition, speech synthesis, and voice conversion. His Master’s thesis, “From Silence to Sound: Exploring the Potential of State-of-the-Art Voice Conversion Models for Pathological Speech Enhancement,” laid the foundation for his current doctoral research. He combines his expertise in engineering, linguistics, and speech pathologies to develop novel speech technologies for medical use.
