This thesis will be focused on the reliable and secure localization of electronic keys using wireless technologies, aiming at reaching some defined level of reliability and trusworthiness. That is, essentially, it seeks to investigate trustworthy models and algorithms for distance bounding and localization with respect to defined geometric zones by studying the physical layer signal processing within the wireless transceiver chips and system level aspects building upon it.
