The SPSC has a job opening for a student project assistant to be filled as soon as possible (beginning ASAP until the end of 2016).

We are working on building a speech recognizer for Austrian German Natural Speech with KALDI [1] as the recognition engine. The main tasks will be to train acoustic and language models using different sources of speech data.

For this and other tasks within the project we are looking for support.

Your profile:

  • TU Graz master student of information and computer engineering or sound engineering.
  • Interest in automatic speech recognition (Speech Communication 2 is a plus)
  • Good command of the Linux bash
  • Experience in C/C++ Coding of audio software is a plus
  • Good command of written and spoken English

Your Tasks:

  • Preparation of speech data sets for use in KALDI
  • Preparation and supervision of recordings
  • Conducting acoustic measurements

The emphasis of your tasks will depend on your qualifications.
