The SPSC has a job opening for a student project assistant to be filled as soon as possibleuntil June 2018.

In the project ‘HumanEVoice’ we are working on a natural voice for people without a larynx. We have developed a demonstator system in MATLAB where we have a number of task to improve the system

Your profile:

  • TU Graz master student of information and computer engineering or sound engineering or similar.
  • Experience with audio processing under linux
  • Experience with audio hardware
  • Soldering experience
  • Creative problem solving concerning hardware
  • Since it is a project focusing on the female voice, female candiates will have a bonus.

  • 5-10 h per week depending on your availability
  • Gross salary per month: ~500 EUR (based on 20h/week) according to the university collective agreement
  • Flexible working hours
  • It is possible to work on a student project or Master’s thesis in the same context
  • In case of a successful project proposal, there is the possibility of an extension beyond June.

Your Tasks:

  • Integrating external hardware into demonstrator
  • 3D Printing
  • Integrating bluetooth audio in test system
  • Develop bracelet that holds a sound transducer and throat microphone
