Experiments address core topics of the lecture course “Raumakustik VO”

• Day 1: Measurement of sound pressure level and reverberation time using different methods
• Day 2: Measurement of acoustic impedance and absorption coefficient
• Day 3: Measurement of room acoustic parameters using MLS-Signals (see VO Akustische Messtechnik)
• Day 4+5: Computer aided simulation of room acoustics (software CATT Acoustic)

Aims and Objectives

After having attended this module the students are able to make practical measurements of room-acoustic parameters. She/he has acquired competence to measure acoustic material-parameters. Further the students are able to design a room acoustically and verify the results by means of simulation-methods on a PC.
