E-voice systems are used commonly from patients with laryngectomy in order to provide them with a simple and non-intrusive possibility to speak again. These systems commonly operate using a vibration device attached to the larynx which acts to provide stimulation in a similar way our vocal chords normally do. The results depend on the skill of the patient and the placement of the device, which makes their operation challenging. The goal of this project is to design and implement an adaptive multi-channel system for the hands-free control of such devices.

Useful Skills:

  • auditory signal processing
  • MATLAB, C/C++
  • prototyping and construction

Ideal for Master Thesis, but also available (with modifications) as a TI- or Bachelor Project.
