Abstract

Room acoustics are of great importance for music and speaking performances and require thorough planning. The standards differ depending on the specific purpose of a room and whether a public-address system is used. This bachelor’s thesis provides a design to enhance the room acoustics of a multi-purpose hall, both with and without the use of a sound system. To this end, the target values of objective quality criteria were determined, and their effectiveness was validated by applying geometrical acoustics prediction software. Finally, the electroacoustics were planned based on optimised room acoustics.

Kurzfassung

Die Raumakustik spielt bei Musik- und Sprachdarbietungen eine wichtige Rolle und bedarf sorgfältiger Planung. Die Anforderungen sind je nach Nutzung unterschiedlich und auch abhängig davon, ob eine Beschallungsanlage zum Einsatz kommt. In dieser Bachelorarbeit wurde die Raumakustik für einen Veranstaltungssaal zur Mehrzwecknutzung sowohl mit als auch ohne elektroakustischer Verstärkung geplant. Dazu wurden die Zielwerte objektiver Gütemaße für die vorgesehene Nutzung festgelegt und die Wirksamkeit der Maßnahmen mittels strahlenakustischer Simulation des 3D-Modells überprüft. Anschließend wurde die Elektroakustik für den optimierten Saal geplant.
