Your profile:

You are willing to work together, willing to learn and willing to communicate. Together with an experienced colleague you will be the one to help out researchers with all questions in regard of information technology. You’ll offer help due to your knowledge of operating systems (mainly Linux, but also Windows) and will provide support with the occasional desktop problem. One of your main tasks well be the network security. Ideally you’re a student at the TU Graz who’s willing to develop additional skills and who’s interested in new technologies. We’d like you to consider working in this position for a longer periode of time.

We can offer you:

  • Payment: mimimum 1000,80 EUR/month for 20hrs (according to university collective agreement for non-scientific project assistant level IIIa). During holidays a full time employment is possible.
  • Infrastructure (office at Inffeldgasse 16c/EG)

  • We support that you study during the semester

Requirements:

  • Proficient in both written and spoken English
  • Willingness to learn
  • Completed bachelor in Computer Science, HTL for informatics or equivalent qualification
  • Solid experience handling Debian-based Linux systems
  • Network administration
  • Scripting (Bash, Python, Perl…)
