Kurzfassung:

Das Spektral ist ein Freiraumprojekt in Graz in dem man Veranstaltungen selber organisieren, Workshops besuchen und/oder die zur Verfügung stehende Infrastruktur nutzen kann. Teil des Spektrals ist die Galerie, ein Mehrzweckraum im Kellergeschoß, welcher ein Tonnengewölbe besitzt. Das Tonnengewölbe gepaart mit einer wenig absorbierenden Ausstattung ergibt mäßige raumakustische Bedingungen, wie eine unzureichende Sprachverständlichkeit und eine hohe Nachhallzeit. Weiterhin sorgen einfachverglaste Fenster für eine schlechte Schalldämmung zur Außenumgebung. Im Rahmen dieser Arbeit soll der Raum akustisch vermessen werden. Anschließend soll eine Simulation des Raumes in CATT-Acoustics durchgeführt werden anhand derer Vorschläge für eine akustische Sanierung ausgearbeitet werden. Dabei soll auch auf die Schalldämmung des Raumes eingegangen werden.

Aufgaben:

• Literaturrecherche: Nutzungsanalyse, Messnormen, Schallschutz und Raumakustik im Hochbau
• Erstellung eines akustischen Anforderungsprofils
• Raumakustische Vermessung
• Bestimmung der raumakustischen Gütemaße (Ist-Zustand)
• Erstellen eines akustischen Modells
• Simulation einer raumakustischen Sanierung des Raumes
• • Dokumentation der durchgeführten Arbeiten

Die Arbeit sollte idealerweise von einem Team bestehend aus 2 Studierenden durchgeführt werden!

Abstract:

The Spektral is an open space project in Graz where it is possible to host events, participate in workshops and/or make usage of the provided infrastructure. A part of the Spektral is the gallery, a multi-purpose room in the basement which has a barrel vault. This barrel vault together with a low absorbing interior yields suboptimal acoustic conditions, such as insufficient speech intelligibility and rather high reverberation time. Furthermore, single glazed windows cause a poor sound insulation to the outdoor environment. To address these problems an acoustic investigation should be conducted by performing room acoustic measurements. Afterwards, a simulation of the room should be performed in CATT-Acoustics. Suggestions for a room acoustic renovation should be developed including concepts for sound insulation.

• development of an acoustic requirement profile
• room acoustic measurements
• determination of room acoustic parameters (actual situation)
• construction of a room acoustic model
• simulation of a room acoustic renovation

The work should ideally be carried out by a team of 2 students!
