Binaural Beamforming

Seminar Type: Audio Signal Processing, Seminar (3 SE)
Project Status: Open

Binaural beamforming refers to the directional processing of binaural signals with the goal to imcrease the signal to noise ratio of sound waves arriving from a given direction. This technology is used widely in the hearing aid industry, for example. The goal of this project is to research and evaluate standard binaural beamforming algorithms. After completing a literature review, you will choose and implement an appropriate algorithm beased on weighting its efficiency and effectiveness for real-time implementations

Useful Skills:
- Auditory Signal Processing
- Software Development (MATLAB, C/C++, or similar)

Ideal for Master Thesis, but also available (with modifications) as a TI- or Bachelor Project.
