Karl Freiberger was born in Graz, Austria, in 1984. He received the Dipl.-Ing. degree in electrical engineering and audio engineering from Graz University of Technology, Austria and the University of Music and Performing Arts, Graz, Austria, in 2010. From 2010 to 2013 he was with bct electronic GesmbH, Salzburg, Austria, working on acoustic echo cancellation, multichannel speech enhancement, and acoustic design for communication terminals. From 2013 to 2015 he was a researcher at the Telecommunications Research Center Vienna (FTW), working on digitally enhanced transceivers. Since 2015 he works as a researcher and lecturer at the Signal Processing and Speech Communication Laboratory, Graz University of Technology, where he is currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree.
Signal processing and -analysis, with a current focus on digital pre-enhancement of WLAN transmitters and related optimization and measurement problems.
