Erik Leitinger received his B.Sc. degree (2009), his Dipl.-Ing. degree
(2012) and his Ph.D. degree (with highest honors, 2016) in electrical
engineering from Graz University of Technology, Austria. Currently he
holds an ``Erwin Schroedinger'' post-doctoral fellowship at the
department of Electrical and Information Technology at Lund University.
Erik Leitinger received the outstanding award of excellence of the
Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economy (BMWFW) for his PhD
Thesis and was honored from Graz University of Technology for the patent
with the title, “Method, device and system for indoor localization and
tracking using ultrawideband radio signals”. He was finalist in the best
student paper competition at IEEE Radar Conference, USA, Cincinnati in
2014. Dr. Leitinger served as reviewer for several IEEE journals and as
a TPC member in IEEE conferences.
Research Interests
His research interests are in ultrawideband wireless communication, indoor positioning, estimation/detection theory, Bayesian inference, factor graphs, message passing algorithms, and cognitive control.
